Water Ski & Wakeboard Canada's Club Liability Insurance Program

A members' only program.

Welcome to Water Ski & Wakeboard Canada's Club Development Program for 2010-2011.

Some 2010-11 changes worth highlighting:

  • Fees remain unchanged for the 5th consecutive year.
  • Optional coverage for winches remains with the additional application form (Annex F). The base price remains the same but for up to a maximum of 4 winch events; additional premium applies for 5 or more events.
  • The scope of international coverage has been further defined in respect of the policy not being written or priced to accommodate, for example, a club setting up shop down south for six winter months operation. Out-of-country events (like a club training camp, participation in a competition, winter watersports getaway) are each limited to 14 consecutive days.
  • Further definition has been added to activities that are excluded from the coverage - namely activities when a participant is not towed over water or when on inappropriate bodies of water (i.e. ditches, over waterfalls, canal locks or dams, etc.).
  • Every club will be issued a specific certificate of insurance and a sales receipt immediately upon acceptance within the program.

This program has been specifically designed to assist clubs with their operations. Water Ski & Wakeboard Canada significantly subsidizes this program as a tangible way in which we can help facilitate participation. Clubs continue to tell us this is one of the association's most valued services since it includes comprehensive $5M liability insurance coverage specific to a water ski or wakeboard club operation at a fraction of the cost, plus it offers promotional benefits and access to programs and services.

To enroll in the program, simply complete and return the application form.

Please pay special attention to the "Program Requirements" (explained in the Program Outline document) since you would be agreeing to abide by those and to submitting the necessary documentation.

We trust this line-up of program benefits will fit your requirements. We look forward to assisting clubs with important insurance, promotional and programming needs.

A reminder that, as a condition of insurance, insurers require all participants to sign a waiver, and that the club must submit a completed injury report form whenever there is an injury that required treatment and/or could possibly result in a claim.

We trust this line-up of program benefits will fit your requirements. We look forward to assisting clubs with important insurance,, promotional and programming needs. Have a great and safe season.
