Tips and Tricks

Hydrofoiling is the latest craze in water skiing and is the creation of a whole new extreme sport. Through the principles of aerodynamics, experienced riders are doing flips and rolls 25' above the water. If big air isn't for you, this sport can also be as leisurely as you want it to be. USHA

On lakes all across Canada the sport of hydrofoiling has steadily been increasing in popularity. Many have seen these high flyers go by while sitting on the dock at the cottage or enjoying a local water ski show. Some still call it the "Air Chair" or the "Sky Ski", but there are several companies now involved in the production of hydrofoil products.

What is hydrofoiling and how do you get involved? Although it can look intimidating, riding the hydrofoil is extremely enjoyable and very addictive. It is done by people aged 5 and up around the world. American champion Geno Yauchler promotes the sport pulling huge tricks for audiences and doing clinics for those learning.
